A press release from the McHenry County Sheriff:

Man Arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Material

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sean C. Blackmon, 44, for possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material and methamphetamine manufacturing waste.

Lincoln Road in McHenry is east of the Fox River.

On 04/25/2017 at about 9:45 a.m. the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible methamphetamine lab located off of the 2900 block of Lincoln Road in unincorporated McHenry.

Upon arrival the responding deputies observed equipment and supplies that appeared to be part of a methamphetamine lab.

Members of the Illinois State Police Methamphetamine Response Team and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit subsequently responded to the residence as well.

A search was conducted and investigators located items that are commonly associated with manufacturing methamphetamine.

Blackmon was taken into custody and is currently housed at the McHenry County Correctional Facility.

He is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Material (class 2), Methamphetamine Manufacturing Waste (class 2), and Driving on a Suspended License.
