On Wednesday, Lake County Judge Patricia Fix issued the latest court order in the criminal case against Kim Zinke.
Zinke, who has worked for both the McHenry and Kane County Sheriff’s Departments (in that order), filed a motion to dismiss charges against her.
It was denied.
The court order is below:
A trial date will be set on June 28th.
Time to plead out, ‘Lil Kim.
Take the misdemeanor conviction…. and avoid the felony raps you deserve!

The State has invested a whole lot of time in this case.
IDK if they’ll offer her a no felony plea.
Perhaps they’ll offer one felony with probation and no jail time.
If she did what the State says she did, she should lose her pension and be barred from ever working in LE again.

Everybody deserves a chance.
If guilty, she should get a hefty fine, probation and the misdemeanor conviction.
Sorry, but I do not like this lady at all but she deserves a chance at redemption too.
CP She collected a years worth of salary after she got caught.
She is an officer of the law and is held to a higher standard.
What would happen to average Joe, if he did this??
If they had never been in trouble, I’d expect misdemeanor conviction and probation.
Believe me, with all my heart, I do not like this lady.
Have they run out of forms for the 22nd judicial circuit?
I applaud not wasting paper, but how about some white out?
CP I don’t feel sorry for her at all.
I feel sorry for her kids.
Whatever happens, she should not collect a pension.
I think she thought she was above the law because of her husband.
At least the nineteenth was crossed out and replaced with 22nd on this form.
In yesterday’s post the 19th judicial circuit form was used, with no indication the case was in the 22nd judicial circuit, unless one knew Judge Patricia Fix is in McHenry County, or knew the case was in McHenry County.

Wait.
The name of the Circuit Clerk that appears on yesterdays form is Erin Cartwright Weinstein, who is Lake County Circuit Clerk.
But a McHenry County Court Case number was used.
And Judge Patricia Fix, who also appears on the form, is a McHenry County Judge.
Maybe someone knows the story.
Correction.
Judge Patricia Fix is a Lake County Judge.
Perhaps the McHenry County Case, or some portion of it, is being held in Lake County.

Maybe justice will be served this time….sure wasn’t when Marlene was let go by by Mr. “Justice is Ethics and Truth in Action” Kenneally……..
Voted for you once, but will not make that mistake again !
Mark – It is assigned to a Lake County Judge and to be heard in McHenry since the arrest was in McHenry, etc. It is confusing because info is not as it should be. Below is the MCHENRY COUNTY COURT LISTINGS.
There was a hearing on the 19th in McHenry County on Monday and too many thought it was in Lake. Not so.

PS they put ZZZ because they are not sure what McHenry County trial room will be available.
I hear the kids are with Andy. Nice mother she is. She should get the book thrown at her.
Anyone else wonder what happened to a ‘speedy’ trial?
Lawyer greed?
CP , you assume she hasn’t already had a second chance .
She’s had many chances, one being when she was allowed to resign from McHenry County.
CP is correct.
She resigned from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.
She had a choice and that is the one she chose.
She was a deputy in McHenry County and that is how she met Andy Zinke to begin with.
Zgone, that is true.
I do recall something about an incident in the break room while a detective.
I’m sure there were more.
I’m trying not to let my dislike of her cloud my judgment but perhaps you are right.
CP – this would be about her 4th chance.
If I never hear the word Zinke again, I’ll be delighted!
According to the Circuit Clerk’s website, Kimmy waived her right to a jury trial and has a bench trial scheduled for October 30th.
I would expect some kind of a plea bargain before then, because I can’t imagine why else she would agree to a bench trial with a judge who has already ruled against her.
