    It passed the House Revenue & Finance Committee on Tuesday June 27, 2017.

    CUSD 300 Superintendent Fred Heid filed a witness slip opposing the property tax free bill.

    CUSD 300 is a unit school district (preschool through 12th grade) with an enrollment of about 20,000 covering all or portions of Algonquin, Carpentersville, Dundee, Gilberts, Hampshire, Lake in the Hills, Pingree Grove, Sleepy Hollow, and West Dundee.

    Barrington CUSD 220 Superintendent Brian Harris filed a witness slip opposing the property tax freeze bill.

    Barrington CUSD 220 is a unit school district (preschool through 12th grade) with an enrollment of about 9,000 students covering all or portions of Barrington, Lake Barrington, Tower Lakes, Barrington Hills, Carpentersville, Deer Park, Fox River Grove, Port Barrington, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, North Barrington, and South Barrington; an area of about 72 square miles.
