Just in Case Media Outlets Don’t Know Jack Franks’ Elective Position

Got an emailed press release from McHenry County yesterday.

The letterhead struck me as a bit strange.

Let’s see if you agree.

All the letters in McHenry County Board Chairman’s title are in caps.

The title of his office is all capital letters…as if those receiving the press release wouldn’t know.

Just in Case Media Outlets Don’t Know Jack Franks’ Elective Position — 40 Comments

  1. megalomania (noun):

the belief that you are much more important and powerful than you really are

  2. Nothing personal here, only clean-cut, old fashioned, state-of-the-art journalism. Hey Columbia University! Take a look at this story and award our sunshine blogger with the Pulitzer prize he so much deserves. Wait a minute, those New Yorkers are too liberal anyway…tic, tock, tic, tock…

  3. megalomanic (adj.) See tronald dump, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., Washington DC…tic, tock, tic, tock…

  4. megalomaniac (adj) See Barack Hussein Obama, former resident 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington DC.

Trump is demolishing Obama’s legacy of FAILURE and the Leftist/FAKE NEWS crowd can’t believe it… tic, tock, tic, tock.

  5. And as for Franks, he is your common DEMOCRAT narcissist.

The proof is on the envelope.

  6. How dare he use all caps.

That’s it, I’m calling for a special election to replace him.

  7. Wondering.

Do other elected officials in McHenry County such as Treasurer and Sheriff use capital letters
    for their titles in letterheads?

    Or, do they show humility?

  8. Facts? Don’t be an idiot. You are missing the point entirely by stating nonsense while thinking you are poking fun at others. It makes you look very ignorant.

  9. Patrick Keneally spent thousands of taxpayer dollars on a commissioned new logo for his office. With his name through lady justice.

Not one peep for using taxpayers money from Cal skinner.

Franks has a handmade logo with his office highlighted and Skinner is offended.

  10. McHenry County Circuit Clerk Kathy Keefe doesn’t even have her name on her office window.

  11. Stop the nonsense! Here in this sunshine blog, we walk the walk and preach by example. That is why our sunshine blogger included a whole section of this glorious sunshine blog devoted to himself. 2018, is that you knocking at the door? Tic, tock, tic, tock

  12. Ignorant Cindy? Really? Pot meet kettle.
Don’t be silly moderate. This blog can’t handle reasonable people like yourself.

  13. Press 1 in support of a Pulitzer prize to our sunshine blogger…tic, tock, tic, tock…

  14. Of course Franks misuses Christians logo, he’s been very actively hiding his religion from the peasants of McHenry County for many, many years.

He masquerades as a Catholic, for political purposes, at Marian Central events.

The last time I checked, the Salvation Army was a private Christian religious sect, and the Red Cross was a private NGO.

Did Franks convert from Judaism? Did he tell his rabbi about this logo and his (or her) blessing?

  15. Gee, I wonder what the SA and RC have to say about this! Did they authorize it?

I highly doubt 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charities’ legal dept’s would go along with such a scheme

Here’s some other logos Franks should consider, they’d be far more fitting:

  16. The Salvation Army logo seems to be written entirely in capital letters. My logical conclusion is that these people at the Salvation Army have a megalomaniac complex. Don’t they know we know who they are? Just asking…Thank you sunshine blogger for such a great story and your brave journalism…any free lunch lately? Tic, tock, tic, tock…

  17. Cal’s attacks – if you can even call them that – have become increasingly sophomoric and a-political:
    -Aesthetic Critiques on Logos
    -Micromanaging Routine Campaign Reimbursements
-Doxing Personal Information on a Mother
-Falsly Asserting Franks Interrupted a Constituent in a Public Forum

Watching Cal is like watching the slow decay of a once honorable man – his sense of self and identity gradually transitioning into a state of both loathing and covetting Franks’ success. His continued antagonistic posts serve to further delegitimize what few, honest critiques on policy he does make, leading to the side show this blog has become. Whereas the Northwest Herald once saw Cal as a threat and sued him, they now probably view him as a joke.

    Putter on Cal.

  18. Supporting charitable organizations is noble.

However, seems kind of weird to use their logos on official government documents.

Would presume that someone from the CHAIRMAN’S organization received permission to use the logos on government documents.

  19. Sunshine blogger, time to change the subject with a sunset picture, or perhaps another story on political signs from the 80’s…or more on purse-gate…just a thought. Tic, tock, tic, tock…

  20. What?! Our sunshine blog a side show? This is jealousy at its worst. This sunshine blog is right there neck and neck with the most prestigious journalistic publications of our great United States of America, like the New York Times, Washington Post, The Boston Globe, and others. Did I mention Poor Richard’s Almanack? Our sunshine blogger got started right there, which explains his die hard patriotism and commitment to our founding fathers…Sunshine blogger, we stand with you; with your icky cat, not so much…Tic, tock, tic, tock…

  21. Start a contribution boycott of the Salvation Army and Red Cross.

The logos would be pulled instantly!

    Money talks!

    Jack’s BS walks!

  22. This was a joint press release Salvation Army and the Red Cross that’s why their logos were used. Wouldn’t it be nice if Cal focused on helping people in need, which is the subject of the release, instead of the letterhead….

  23. I’ve been out this morning identifying homes with flood damage for the Red Cross and County damage assessment.

    What have you been doing?

  24. My bitter, sunshine blogger continues to inspire me. He is the embodiment of the biblical phrase “Do not tell your right hand what your left hand is doing.” Tic, tock, tic, tock…

  25. Has-never-been Cal Skinner continues his increasingly strange and nearing deranged attacks. The descent into madness and pettiness would be entertaining if not so sad.

  26. Great work Cal, maybe you can apply that work ethic to reporting relevant stories about Franks and suspend petty drivel.

  27. Came in a little late for this debate but all I can say is so many idiots so little time.

As for the idiot that keeps calling for 2018 all I can say is hold on to your ass you sorry son of a b*****

Good luck in the contest yet to come.

  28. “The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church.

Its message is based on the Bible.

Its ministry is motivated by the love of God.

Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.”

  29. How about that for your daily display of compassionate conservative brotherly love? 2018, is that you knocking at the door? Tic, tock, tic, tock…

  30. Bill Cameron, a long time political reporter and talk show host in Chicago who currently hosts Connected to Chicago heard Sundays from 7PM – 8PM on WLS 890 Chicago, had the following tweet yesterday:

“Popular @ILSecOfState Jesse White to announce 8/17 at county chair breakfast whether he’ll seek 6th term @wlsam890.”

That was picked up and reported by CapitolFax.

The Illinois Democratic County Chairman’s Association 2017 Annual Brunch is August 17, 2017 from 8AM – 1PM at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield.

Jack Franks is a Democrat and current McHenry County Board Chair.

Jack Franks and Jesse White have fished together over the years at the annual Franks Canadian Fishing trip.

  31. That’s strange, Mark.

Last year at the Illinois State Fair, Jesse White announced that he wasn’t going to seek reelection and, unlike other times when he hinted at retirement, he was unequivocal about it: “You can take it to the bank. This is it. ”

  32. There are a few possibilities:

    1. Jesse White could seek re-election, even though he has previously stated he would not (he has done that in at least one prior election cycle).

    2. Jesse White could seek re-election, and if re-elected, at some point resign, and allow the Democrats to appoint someone.

    3. Jesse White could announce he is not seeking re-election, and another candidate (Jack Franks?) could announce they running…several past Governors were previously Secretary of State…remember how frequent, hard and nasty Moderate was campaigning on the blog for Jack Franks to be County Board Chair…patronage job in return?…remember the Cut 10 Committee chaired by Mr. Kling whose family is associated with Mr. Franks…it was a statewide initiative to cut property taxes 10%…it has since been disbanded…Jack Franks proved to the Democrat Party he could win a countywide office in a Republican county…why not a statewide office?…Jack Franks has a sizeable positive balance in his PAC and so does Jesse White…combining the two is a nice head start to raise funds…etc.

    4. Other options.

Illinois Democrat County Chairman Association (IDCCA)

    2017 Annual Chairmen’s Brunch

August 17, 2017 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield, IL

“The Chairmen’s Brunch is the largest gathering of Democrats in Illinois each and every year!

This event will bring together over 1,000 Democratic County Chairmen, elected officials, labor leaders, Democratic activists and candidates for federal, state and local offices.”

15 days until Jesse White makes his announcement on August 17, 2017.

  33. Back when Paul Powell died, Republican Governor Richard Ogilvie appointed Republican Kucharski.
