Every month Chicago Tribune columnist John Kass trots out his “Moutza of the Month” column.
Readers pretty much write it for him with their nominations.
One from Bryan Surek was for “State rep. Chris ‘Mathman’ Welch, D-Madiganistan, for having hysterics on Twitter and wrongly insisting that the Madigan tax increase is only 1.2 percent.
Continuing, “Mathman Welch even put up a graphic, and declared, ‘Out tax rate increased 1.2 percentage points. Not 32% as (Gov.) Rauner wants you to believe!’
“He was shouted down for his bad math and took down his tweet. It is a 32 percent tax hike.
“‘Simple math seems to come hard to most representatives,’ said Bryan Surek, ‘Especially ones that tweet about it nd think the Chumbolones won’t notice. Nah1’
“They noticed.”
See McHenry County Blogs article about the tweet here. Note especially the comments under that article.
You have to admire those fine Chicago Public Schools.
Kass for Governor!
