McHenry County Towns Don’t Make Safest Cities’ List

There are Illinois cities in the National Council for Home Safety and Security list of the 100 safest cities in the USA, but none are in McHenry County.

And that’s before the guy was shot in a parking lot just off the Woodstock Square and two women were shot at home in Crystal Lak=

= = = = =
Reader John Lovaas points out in a comment that no town in McHenry County was eligible for the list because none have more than 50,000 people.

Thanks for your sharp eyes, John.

  1. Dear freeloader, sunshine blogger: Please moderate your tone before we get fined by the FCC. What do you mean “a guy was hot” in the Woodstock Square? What will McHenry County Progressives think about our traditional, rural, compassionate conservative, Christian values? Tic, tock, tic, tock…

  2. The Llavona again. A hideous invasive species from the fetid swamps of Central America!

Of course, McHenry Co has no burg on the safest list! Thank Jacko “Little Liar-Panata’s Afire” Franks and all the Obama drones in HUD who imported thousands of urban youths via freebie section 8 housing vouchers.

McHenry County was too White according to the progressive morons, ergo imports were ordered.

Funny how the crime blotter reflects that.

Old Ralph Waldo Emerson, hardly a Nazi, had something ‘transcendental” to say about all this:

  3. Perhaps you should lean how to read, Cal. If you had bothered to read the paragraph about methodology, the survey excludes cities under 50,000 population.

Would you care to guess how many McHenry County cities and villages exceed 50,000? Here’s a clue- as many as appear in that list. If my nuance and sarcasm is invisible to you- that’s zero.

For the Devos Reading Is For Losers program early adopters, here’s the quote from the webpage Cal is citing:

“We eliminated any cities that failed to submit a complete crime report to the FBI and removed cities with populations under 50,000.”

Reading is for losers, I guess.

  4. Funny how all those cities are overwhelmingly white. I wonder if there is any correlation, or is it just a strange coincidence!

    Carmel, Indiana:

As of the census[2] of 2010, there were 79,191 people, 28,997 households, and 21,855 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,668.6 inhabitants per square mile (644.3/km2). There were 30,738 housing units at an average density of 647.7 per square mile (250.1/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 85.4% White, 3.0% African American, 0.2% Native American, 8.9% Asian, 0.7% from other races, and 1.8% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.5% of the population.

  5. At the rate that people are fleeing McHenry County for lower property tax states
no city will ever make that list.

Perhaps the DEMOCRATS will declare it a “sanctuary county”.

  6. Where is a moving truck when you need one? Tic, tock, tic, tock…

  7. John Lovaas, that’s really rude.

Cal is a one man news source for the county.

    So there are typos.

You called attention to one, he thanked you and you insult him.

No one will ever be calling you a class act.

I know quite a lot of very learned morons.

Seeing you declare yourself to be one, I’ll add you to the moron lot of my acquaintance.

  8. RickyR, your the first to have ever posted on this blog, about this stealth McHenry County event that occurred.

Two rental seasons ago, I was deluged with Section 8 applications for our rental properties. Even with our listing descriptions stating “No Section 8”.

More disturbing, some challenged our listings as a violation of Fair Housing. As if they were entitled to force thier way on any Landlord, stupid enough to rent to them.

That aside, thanks to McHenry County Pols, who’s primary mandate is supposed to be, to improve and enhance its citizens quality of life. They always forget that actual reason Gov. exists in the first place once elected.

  9. Another tronald dump victory; dumpcare is officially dead. The Affordable Care Act is with us after 7 years of empty promises by republicans who never had a plan. Now move forward to Medicare for All…tic, tock, tic, tock…

  10. BOOM – Another win for the Trump economy and America !

More jobs created in first 8 months of Trump administration than in 8 YEARS of Obama’s epic FAILED presidency

with more jobs to come on the horizon.

Trump continues to utterly DESTROY Obamas legacy with lightening speed – MAGA !

  11. CNN = Known fake news. Haven’t you had enough of their propaganda yet?

  12. People are so focused on the recent CL deaths.

They seem to forget most the pedophiles in McHenry County jail are white.

  13. A “tronald dump victory” words put on this web site by a commenter.

    How childish and silly.

Our Nation is threatened by a regime in N Korea due in large part by policies of Bill Clinton and Barak Obama.

Our current President is tasked with devising a solution to the nuclear threat from N Korea largely as a result of incompetents such as Clinton and Obama.

Trump inherited the mess of N Korea from President Obama.
