First it was former Algonquin Township Highway Commissioner Bob Miller’s son-in-law who was put on the Nunda Township payroll by Nunda Township Road Commissioner Mike Lesperance.
Now, thought a Freedom of Information request, it has been learned that Miller himself is drawing compensation from Nunda Township Road District taxpayers.
Miller, hired on August 18th, is drawing $40 an hour as a “consultant.”
Paperwork putting former Algonquin Township Road Commissioner on the Nunda Township Road District payroll.
So far, two payroll periods have passed.
His earnings can be seen below:
Bob Miller consulted for 48 hours his two weeks on the job.
His second pay period, Bob Miller only worked one hour.
Pretty cheap hourly rate for all that experienice.
Sounds like a great deal for Nunda

This begs the question if the elected Nunda Township Road Commissioner feels he cannot handle his job without adding paid help.
This is elected trying to fix a known problem vs NIMBYISM.
Mike is a bit of a ram rod and his consultant knows the game better.
If no one filed with the judiciary there is nothing to see.

What is the job description including responsibilities and authorities of a consultant in this situation?

The mess in Colby Subdivision has Mike’s name all over it, that’s his M.O., most of what he does sparks a lawsuit.
Certainly Bob is there working on employee relations as most employees at Nunda are looking to leave, they can’t stand the boss.
