Man arrested for Attempt Murder over Weekend

October 10, 2017 – Two persons were slashed during a domestic disturbance Saturday night in unincorporated Richmond.

Neither suffered life-threatening injuries but the 32-year-old Des Plaines man wielding the knife was arrested and charged with attempted murder and burglary.

Miguel A Hernandez-Solorzano, is in custody Monday and charged with two counts of Attempted Murder and one count of burglary.

On Saturday, October 7, 2017 at approximately 6:49 p.m. the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and Richmond Fire Protection District responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 5200 block of U.S. Route 173.

Upon their arrival, deputies found two wounded victims inside the residence.

Hernandez-Solorzano was located outside, where he had been detained by other family members.

The investigation revealed that Hernandez-Solorzano had been hiding in a barn.

When he saw one of the victims he came out of the barn with a knife and slashed that victim in the back.

The second victim saw this occur and attempted to stop Hernandez-Solorzano.

At this point Hernandez-Solorzano attacked that victim and a fight ensued between the suspect and the two victims.

The first victim was transported to Centegra Hospital in McHenry with non-life threatening injuries.

The second victim was transported Condell Hospital in Libertyville with non-life threatening injuries.

Hernandez-Solorzano was treated on the scene for facial injuries and was taken into custody.

He was subsequently charged with two counts of Attempted Murder and one count of Burglary.

Bond

  • $5,000,000
