Speeding Stop near Routes 31 & 176 Leads to Gun & Drug Arrest

Armed Violence/Drug Arrest Made after Traffic Stop

October 11, 2017 A traffic stop Wednesday led to the arrest of a Crystal Lake man by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and charges of armed violence and drug possession.

A Deputy observed a Hyundai Sonata speeding and conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Route 31 and Route 176 in Crystal Lake.

During the traffic stop, deputies recovered a loaded Glock 19 pistol and small amounts of cocaine, cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

The driver, Vincent A. Falco, 27, was subsequently arrested and charged.

  • Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon (class 4)
  • Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance-(class 4)
