Crystal Lake IL – Thinking of adopting a cat?

During the month of October, McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) Animal Control and Adoption is offering a ½ price special on teenage cats between the ages of 1 and 3 years old.

The costs is $40 for the 1-3 year old cats.

Some older ones can be gotten for a donation.

All adopted cats go to new homes already spayed or neutered, micro chipped, treated for parasites, fleas and ticks and vaccinated with age appropriate vaccines.

According to Maryellen Howell, Veterinary Public Health Manager, “Because last winter was so mild, we’ve had an overabundance of kittens

It’s time to move these “teenagers” out and make some room.”

Kara Plonczynski, Volunteer Coordinator & Health Educator, added, “We need room for the kittens,.

“And we thought the month of October was the perfect time to ‘fall’ in love with a new furry friend!”

A picture is worth a thousand words.
