Tuesday night is the first time that the new District 155 School Board–most elected with the support of the District 155 teachers union–will have an opportunity to show how much they care about local taxpayers.
At 7:30, the meeting will begin at District headquarters, One South Virginia Road in Crystal Lake.
Citizens are allowed to express their opinions on whether or not the property tax burden should be increased.
While much public involvement resulted in the effort to consolidate townships, school districts are the ones who take most of the real estate tax dollar.
The final vote will occur at the November 21st meeting.
