Sheriff’s Office Investigating Single Vehicle Fatal Traffic Crash

A 57-year-old Amboy man was pronounced dead following a single vehicle crash in unincorporated Huntley Tuesday evening.

At approximately 9:05 p.m. on October 24, 2017, members of the Huntley Fire Protection District and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a single vehicle traffic crash in the 14100 block of Harmony Road.

The investigation indicated that a 2016 Ford F350 was traveling westbound on Harmony Road.

For unknown reasons, the Ford drove off the north side of the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver and sole occupant was transported to Centegra Hospital in Huntley, where he was pronounced dead.

He was wearing his seatbelt and the airbag systems in his vehicle had deployed.

The investigation is ongoing by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Major Traffic Crash Investigation Unit and the McHenry County Coroner’s Office. 2016 Ford F350 57-year-old Male Amboy, IL
