Edgar County Watchdog Kirk Allen, who posts on Illinois Leaks, received the following reply to the criminal complaint he filed with McHenry County Sheriff Bill Prim:
“Your complaints are the same ones reported by Mr. Gasser and his attorney and are being handled by the state police.
“I have faith that that their investigation will be conducted in a thorough and professional, fashion.”
Turning a complaint over to the State Police is what someone did when Kane County Deputy Sheriff Kim Zinke ran into felony drug charges in Woodstock.
Kim Zinke is the wife of the man Prim barely beat in the 2014 Republican Primary Election.
I think it is fair to conclude that Prim, seeing a conflict of interest, deferred to the State Police.
Prim has the appearance of a similar conflict of interest concerning former Algonquin Township Road Commissioner Bob Miller.
McHenry County State’s Attorney Lou Bianchi turned the case over the Lake County State’s Attorney because he supported Prim for Sheriff.
Prim endorsed Miller for re-election over close winner Andrew Gasser.
It is 7:15PM. Yep, and Gasser is still an asshole.
Gasser will always be a tax cutter and an instigator.
Gasser wins the small battles but loses wars.
Is all of the efforts into uncovering this worth it?
Our party is being dissected by democrats and this is all we care about?
What happened in court today?
By the way, what is going on with the Kim Zinke Case, that is one we should all watch too?
These are the battles that need to be fought in McHenry County.
If you’ve been paying attention you’d know that the progressive/democrats have fully supported Miller and still do.
That should be a wake up call right there.
Looks like maybe the Lorax is worried they are going to jail, too. Only thing that explains the vitriol over nothing.
yep , their starting to jump ship ,you would be a fool to stay on board with these crooks, save your careers and let them fend for them selves
Do you know why Thewhole? Because the net could ensnare all of them. Every single one of them that contributed before after and during.
@anotherwatcher,
Kim Zinke is currently scheduled to have a trial conference on 11/30, and a bench trial on 12/11.
Court events have been postponed in this case before, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened again.
So the Republicans here want to cover up Miller’s corruption because Democrats (both of us in McHenry County I guess) will use it to make the Party look bad!?
Man, how could you go any lower??
Thank You Billy Bob.
They sure are dragging this out, because there are other charges she is up against, isn’t she?
IDK if Kane County plans to charge her or not.
The court records show a Michelle Niermann, who is with the Kane County SA Office, as a “special and limited” attorney on this case.
I thought Illinois got rid of that designation a few years ago, so I’m not really sure what it means.
I’ll bet Kane County would be relieved if Kimmy took a felony conviction and was ineligible for a pension or future employment in LE.
Billy Bob, that could be why this is taking so long, because of Kane County having possible charges too.
The theft was in Kane County . . . the proof found in McHenry County at her home.
She has a mighty expensive attorney, who do you think is paying for him.
It seems to me that Sheriff Bill Prim would have had the appearance of a conflict of interest if he handled the probe, since he supported Bob Miller over Andrew Gasser in the GOP Primary Election.
Zinke wants a bench trial, I wonder why, l.o.l.
Biggest mistake Prim could make was endorsing this crook! Why would a County Sheriff endorse a Hwy Commissioner anyway? All the Democrats that supported him and still do, are either benefactors of the township taxpayer money or they were up to no good too. If the Democrats don’t see a thing wrong with what Miller has done, that should make people very leery of the Dems! (And the RINO’s that supported/ support Miller-they’re Dems too.) Democrap Jack Franks wanted Miller on the county board! HELLLLOOOO ?!
At least Prim is doing the right thing by passing this along to the State Police.
Cal, ANY sheriff would have a conflict.
The roads the deputies patrol are township roads and they depend on the services of the Road Commissioner and have a relationship with them that could be considered a conflict.
Oak Harp makes several great points.
Maybe Prim learned a big lesson, bed down with the Millers and people start questioning YOUR OWN INTEGRITY.
Maybe Prim was naive, maybe he didn’t even give Leech-Miller permission in the first place to ‘use’ his name.
Maybe all the ‘smart money’ told him that Miller was a shoo-in.
But one thing’s for sure, Prim doesn’t desire to get ‘burned’ again.
Let’s just see if TOI can derail the State Police investigation like they do all the time for other prominent township wrongdoers.
But these nice township crooks were thrown by TOI to the wolves:
