  1. Cal?

Are you saying you had forgotten the story of Squanto or that you never heard it?

  2. Chief Seattle’s ‘famous’ speech debunked: dehttp://www.jessicacrabtree.com/journal1/chief-seattle-speech-debunked/

    Llavona: eat it!

  3. Let’s forget that the United States proceeded to take the land of the natives and send them to the front and backs of textbooks.

I’m not an Native American sympathizer.

Praeger University is modern day propaganda.

    Real trash.

I expect slightly more from you Mr. Skinner.

  4. Sunshine blogger. There goes another naive commenter expecting more from you when it is obvious you are not capable of anything else other than nabbing free lunches at republican fundraisers here and there…tic, tock, tic, tock…

  5. You could learn a lot from Michael Medved.

Too bad you are so intelligence biased that you wouldn’t understand whereof he speaks.

  6. Ken:

The natives had no concept of land ownership and were constantly moving their villages.

Land ownership was a European concept brought around the world and implemented where ever civilization progressed.

  7. Great insight! It was fine to displace and murder Native Americans because they were not aware of European concepts and of imperialism. Brilliant display of revisionist history; nonsense you will only see here, in your sunshine blog, the Northwest herald exterminator…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock…

  8. Michael Medved.

Proof the right wing will financially support anyone who tells them what they want to hear

  9. Medved is a never Trumper who was a law school classmate of Bill and Hillary.

    He’s a useless neocon.

  10. The residents of the Americas during the time of Vespucci practiced an “open border” policy.

The natives of the Americas fell victim to not having or enforcing an immigration policy.

We can thank Waldseemuller for naming the “new world” after Vespucci instead of Columbus.

  11. More deflection. European settlers committed genocide against Native Americans. At least our president chump recognized it yesterday. Oh wait. Is that right? He again threw out a racist slur during a ceremony recognizing the contributions of Native Americans during World War II? Oh, well…tic, tock, tic, tock…

  12. Please give us some of that wonderful conspiracy theories’ “truthiness.”

I must warn the entire readership of this sunshine blog (estimated to be approximately 14 errant souls), its content may not be suitable and very dangerous to fair minded human beings…tic, tock, tic, tock…

  13. Fact.

The phony Senator Elizabeth from MASS lied on her resume’ by indicating she had Native American heritage.

She did this to gain favor with potential employers who desired diversity.

An opponent in a Senate race in her State jokingly referred to her as Pochahontis because of her despicable act of claiming she had Native American heritage.

Besides the deceit in her resume’, she is another incompetent and goofy member of the Democrat Party.

She is the goofball who once proclaimed that successful business people did not really “build that”, the success of their business, but somebody else did so.

She even convinced the incompetent President Obama to also make that claim during his 2012 presidential election campaign.

  14. The history of any nation is filled with deceit, treachery and murder by all parties concerned. It is always complex as is life.

To believe in a children’s book version is absurd.

  15. Billy Bob, you’re right on target about Medved being a ‘useless neocon’ …. but that’s a redundancy!

‘Dangerous neocon” or ‘chameleonlike-neocon’ that’s different story.

  16. Sunshine blogger: I keep hearing this rumor about you being right there at the first Thanksgiving. The rumor keeps gaining credibility due to your incredible longevity and your notorious propensity for nabbing free food. Please come forward and clarify this issue to the immense readership of our sunshine blog. Tic, tock, tic, tock…

  17. Article is about Thanksgiving.

However, for Democrats and Democrat supporters and freeloaders who scam various government programs, the fourth Thursday in our Make America Great Nation should be designated as ThanksTAKING Day.

  18. Didn’t remember it when I heard it on the Dennis Prager Show.

  19. That’s what is so cool about getting older. Always making new friends and finding episodes of the “Golden Girls: you have never seen before.

  20. You guys are CooCoo for Coco Puffs.

Why are you commenting about Elizabeth Warren?

The argument is – how do you rationalize Europeans taking almost all Native North American land?

Answer = “The natives had no concept of land ownership and were constantly moving their villages.”

    That sure cleared my conscience.

  21. An absence of private property knowledge surely justified genocide…nonsense you will only find in the one and only McHenry county sunshine blog.Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock…
