Man Crashes Jeep in Spring Grove, Flown to Condell, Alcohol & Drug Arrest

Sheriff’s Office Investigates Single Vehicle Traffic Crash

A 38-year-old Spring Grove man was in critical condition Wednesday following a single vehicle traffic crash the day before in unincorporated Burton Township.

On Tuesday, November 28, at 2:19 p.m. a 2001 Jeep Cherokee SUV was traveling northbound on State Park Road and was negotiating the curve onto westbound Main Street Road when for unknown reasons it veered off the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver of the Jeep, Joshua Fauser, was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by rescue personnel.

He was transported by Flight for Life to Advocate Condell Medical Center, where he is listed in
critical condition.

The preliminary investigation revealed alcohol and controlled substances are a contributing factor to the crash.

Joshua was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident and there were no other occupants in the vehicle.

Spring Grove Police assisted with traffic control. Members of the Fox Lake Fire Department, Spring Grove Fire Department, and Flight for Life provided patient care.

The investigation is ongoing by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Traffic Crash Investigation Unit.

Charges: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Under the Combined Influence of Alcohol and Drugs

The charges against this individual are merely allegations against him. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
