Two Legislative Candidates Still Have Not Filed Petitions

State Rep. Steve Reick is not yet listed as a candidate for re-election to the Illinois House.

That despite the fact that he is acting like a candidate, having taken up the red meat issue for Republicans who are not fans of McHenry County Board Chairman Jack Franks.

Reick’s petition has gained numerous favorable comments on McHenry County Blog.{

[Besides signing Rep. Reick’s petition, you let Governor Bruce Rauner know he should veto HB 171 by sending your comments to: https://www.illinois.gov/gov/contactus/Pages/VoiceAnOpinion.aspx

Or, if it is more convenient, call 217-782-0244.]

The other announced candidate who has not yet filed his papers is John Reinert.

That Reinert is in the race with Craig Wilcox is evidenced by large contributions made since October 1st:

  • $5,000 – Citizens for Pam Althoff
  • $3,500 – Heritage Title Co. of McHenry
  • $1,000 – Mike Skala’s Innovative Component Sales
  • $1,000 – Beaulieu Law Offices PC, Chicago

Monday is the last day of filing.

  1. But!

Look at free advertising they are both receiving!!!1

  2. Wasn’t Reinert in the Northwest Herald picture from first day of filing? It looked like his backside.

I wouldn’t put it past the moron to not know he has to file in Springfield.

Reinert only knows what he is told.

  3. Xout42,

    You made me laugh!

That’s the perfect characterization of that pug!
