A Press Release from the Woodstock Police Department:
At 5 p.m. on Monday, January 22nd, 2018, the Woodstock Police Department responded to the Walmart retail store located at 1275 Lake Ave. in reference to a report of a subject that may have displayed a weapon to store personnel.
Upon arrival, the responding officers were advised that an individual attempted to remove merchandise from the store without remitting payment and that the individual displayed a handgun when asked to present the receipt for said merchandise.
The suspect then fled on foot from the scene with the merchandise.
After obtaining witness statements, responding officers observed, met with, and detained the suspect who was located in close proximity to the Walmart property.
During the investigation, probable cause was established and the suspect, Luis E. Arreola-Gonzalez, was placed under arrest.

Upon conferring with the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office, Arreola-Gonzalez was charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery, one count of Obstructing Justice, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Custody of Arreola-Gonzalez was then transferred to the McHenry County Correctional Facility.
He remains in custody at this time.

The public is reminded that an arrest is not evidence of guilt and that all defendants in a criminal case are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

FedUp is right on. It has been obvious for many years that Democrats favor illegal aliens, illegal immigrants over American citizens. This was proven last weekend when Senate Democrats did not provide the votes necessary for the Continuing Resolution to fund our U.S. Troops and U.S. Government. The Democrats, led by the incompetent Chuck Schumer, acted like kids, spoiled brats in the Senate vote last Friday by trying to demand action on DACA in order to pass the Continuing Resolution funding.
Democrats prove time after time that most of them are incompetent. We in Illinois suffer due to Democrat rule in Springfield by the likes of Madigan and Cullerton and in Chicago having strictly Democrat rule for many, many decades.

Fedup gets an award for best and second best comments on a single thread! I didn’t see any racist remarks. That would be a derogatory comment pertaining to race. That was absent in any commentary here.
Woodstock (the County Seat) ain’t what it used to be! You can blame the city council and their very Liberal Mayor for that.
