First Debate Gives Peek at Rauner’s Primary Challenger
John Kass had harsh words for Governor Rauner in his review of the Tribune’s Governor Debate.
“Rauner is a tough guy, a man who’s made hundreds of millions of dollars in business deals. He made his own money, took his own risks, and he ran for governor in 2014 because the state was sinking. But on Monday, judging just from his eyes and body language after debating Ives — a West Point graduate — Rauner looked like a man who’d been whipped.”

“Jeanne Ives crushed it so hard, way up into the upper deck, Rauner’s re-election dreams bouncing up there all alone, echoing desperately, and all the governor seemed to be able to say was “Mike Madigan” again and again. How many times did he say Mike Madigan? You couldn’t keep count.”

One thing I really dislike about Rauner is that he masquerades as a Christian when he’s not. All that went by the boards when he jettisoned his first wife, Liz Wessel (Sweet Diana Rauner, calls her ‘Horst Wessel’)

Wouldn’t it be nice if one of the bigly Chicago radio stations somehow moved from its leftist positions somehow (with a change in top management and/or ownership) and had talk show hosts such as Laura Ingraham. Nah. They continue to, very cleverly, brainwash and mislead their listeners with left wing bias.
