Electrifying GOP Primary Commercial Continues to Attract Attention

A press release from Jeanne Ives’ for Governor Campaign:

GOP State Central Committeeman Chastises GOP Chairman, Supports Ives Ad

According to a report in Prairie State Wire, John McGlasson, a member of the Illinois Republican Party’s State Central Committee, is “lauding gubernatorial candidate Jeanne Ives’ provocative new ad, ‘Thank You, Bruce Rauner,’ while taking her critics to task for trying to force the party to take sides in the contentious March 20 primary.”

Allen Skillicorn and Jeanne Ives.

McGlasson criticized State Party Chairman Tim Schneider’s comments about the ad saying, “He shouldn’t be taking sides in a primary race. But it appears as though Rauner has bought and paid for the Republican Party with all the money he’s given it.”

Of the ad McGlasson states, “In an age of ambiguity in politics, it’s a clear, unambiguous message about what Rauner stands for.

Everything in the video is correct.”

Electrifying GOP Primary Commercial Continues to Attract Attention — 24 Comments

  1. Finally, a candidate (Ives) who will not retreat from the truth!

Shame on Erika Harold and the other Republican candidates for office who want Ives to put the candle of truth back under the basket!

Insofar as Ives not being able to win an election (based on what several so-called Republicans and Bruce Rauner’s campaign state), the same was said about Trump!

  2. I thought the same thing you wrote in your second paragraph, so I’m not saying she cannot be elected, either.

  3. We have to look at the strong possibility that there are many Democrat voters in Illinois who are also parents. Parents of young girls and teen-age girls. They abhor the idea of boys using the washrooms/dressing rooms with their daughters at school. They agree with Jeanne Ives on her position on this matter and would vote for her in the general election for this as well as her other ideas on beginning to solve the huge problems in our State government.

Also, Jeanne is likely to pick up votes from Democrat women voters simply because Jeanne is a woman of intellect and a woman with very strong family values. Liberals and Democrats have been very vocal about supporting and voting for women government leader positions and many of these Democrats, women and men, will cross over and vote for Jeanne in the general election.

  4. Ives had introduced a bill to force inclusion of all actual debt in calculation of statutory borrowing caps on school debt.

(Currently, schools may borrow 13.8% of EAV, but only PRINCIPAL debt is included in equation. Massive amounts of debt are accruing to taxpayers under the guise of deferred interest payment.
Schools have plowed huge amounts of taxpayer guaranteed IOU’s into extraordinarily bad debt instruments (bad for taxpayers, but extraordinarily lucrative for financial firms selling the complicated debt instruments)

Her action proves she understands the Illinois problem and knows what to do about it.

  5. State Party Chairman Tim Schneidner must be dismissed ASAP.
His comments about the Ives commercial reveal that he does not value
nor does he have respect for the truth, or Ms. Ives.
He is nothing more than another RINO like Rauner and as such is a
huge liability to both the Republican party, and Ms. Ives.

  6. The whole rotten GOP establishment and abettors of Madigan need to be removed.

These kind of polarizing races merely gear up for the bullets, not ballots, phase of taking back the country from the alien mindframe of the cultural Marxists.

Wait for all the vitriol to be spewed on Ives by the GOP elites. Hope she’s got a raincoat!

  7. I haven’t been this energized in a gov’s race since I can remember! Win I es, Win!

  8. Any commercial that causes this much commotion must have touched a nerve.

    You Go Girl!

If Rauner’s wife hadn’t got him to lie to us, he would be unopposed for nomination. The problem is Rauner’s overprivilaged, liberal democrat wife.

  9. Charles Nelson great comment ! Poor Bruce, he really does live up to the old saying “Happy Life, Happy Wife”, and he diligently works on that one.

  10. It all makes sense now. This sunshine blog is not blatantly racist and homophobic; it is just “edgy.” Stay tuned…tic, tock, meow, meow, tic, tock, tic, tock…

  11. Tedious with the clock nonsense. Borrrrrrrrrrinnnnnggggggg. Borrrrrrrrinnnnnnnnggggggg. The commenter obviously has zero ability to be original and relevant.

Say Cal. Can you put in software so that we commenters can block even seeing “ALL” posts from particular posters?

  12. It all makes sense now. This sunshine blog is not blatantly racist and homophobic; it is just “electrifying.” Stay tuned…tic, tock, meow, meow, tic, tock, meow, meow, tic, tock…

  14. Saw Jeanne’s ad on TV yesterday. Great. Keep running it. Her message needs to be seen by all citizens in Illinois who are sick and tired of “Politically Correct” BS and nonsense spewed by the media and Democrat politicians. These are the squeaky wheels that get all the attention. It is time that a politician of integrity calls them out on their crazy ideas and agenda. The silent majority voters can elect Jeanne to Governor of Illinois. The silent majority who have children in school or who have grandchildren in school.

  15. Transgender kids in schools and everywhere must be protected. I agree, this sunshine blog is not racist and/or homophobic; it is just cyber-squeaky-wheelish…Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock…

  16. bred winner you are exactly right. If Angel wants to wear a dress, or wiggle when he tic, tocks, he has that option . . . not our option. We really need to be protected from their slander.

  17. Even the conservative megaphone The Chicago Tribune had to condemn the “sunshine-electrifying” ad my sunshine commenters love so much: “Its scoffing tone shows that Ives believes people who are different from her are fair game for ridicule”. Ives is disqualified to even run for governor; we would love to have her as the republican nominee though…tic, tock, tic, tock, meow, meow, tic, tock…

  18. “Say Cal. Can you put in software so that we commenters can block even seeing “ALL” posts from particular posters”? (This comes from the people who dislike “snowflakes”.) Our sunshine blogger replied: “My dear minion, don’t you understand this sunshine blog is all and only about the money”? Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, meow, meow, tic, tock, tic, tock…

  19. That big newspaper in Chicago long ago lost its conservative standing and viewpoint. It was in 2008, maybe earlier. They could not possibly be conservative if they supported the candidate for president from Illinois with the most far left wing voting record in the U.S. Senate.

In 2008 they endorsed a candidate who became the worst ever president of the U.S. in his first term. They had a chance to redeem themselves in 2012. But no. They doubled down and again endorsed the worst ever president of the U.S.

  20. I agree. Thankfully, this sunshine blog and sunshine commenters took up the torch and carried on the noble mission of family values, God fearing, gun clinging, transparent, accountable, patriotic, christian, fiscally responsible, compassionate conservative mission for generations to come. We owe our “real” sunshine blogger an immense debt of gratitude…stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, meow, meow…
