Getting to this a little late, but it might still be of interest, if only because our McHenry County Board Chairman Jack Franks is endorsing someone for Federal office.
On the other hand, the last time Franks endorsed someone for Federal officer, the candidate–Hillary Clinton–got trounced by Bernie Sanders.
In any event, Franks is endorsing Sean Casten to be the Democratic Party nominee for U.S. Congress to run against incumbent Republican Peter Rosham.

Algonquin Village President John Schmitt joins Franks in the endorsement. Schmitt endorsed Democrat Franks for County Board Chairman. Schmitt has served in the past as a Republican Precinct Committeeman,
