McHenry County Employee Compensation A-An — 17 Comments

  1. How many years of service does a correctional officer need to hit $123k?

  2. First, if you’d read the name, he’s a Sgt., in a union job, and I’d make a guess that he’s been there more than 10 years.

Please, tell me that you’d work in a jail, ANY jail, with all the people sent there, for more than 10 years (granted a time guess) for way less money.

    NOT ME

  3. Total compensation. A simple Google search will give you the breakdown for all county employees.

  4. OK “nob” you have read the ‘fake news” now read the real news written by the person being excoriated by the ’round mound’s’ allies.

Here is the link that has been available to you and the ’round mound’ and the NWH for months:

http://www.orvillebrettman.com/lies-damn-lies-innuendos/ I dare you to read what is there.

As stated before on this blog: Welcome to the County Madiganized by Franks.

Any board member that is quoted as placing Brettman in a ‘poor light’ has been bought or ‘cowed’ into submission by the ’round mound’ who delights in getting Board members fired from their job and intimidates those who own a business by having his union buddies picket their business.

  5. A married couple living in Chicago who were friends with Barack Obama helped him get started in politics. The couple is Bill and Bernadine. They had a history going back to the late 60’s of bombing buildings and promoting violence in the U.S. After a number of bombings, they were put on the Ten Most Wanted List by the Bureau and then went underground. Then they resurfaced and each of them got high paying jobs at big-name universities in the Chicago area. Imagine that.

    According to WIKI:

In 1969, he (Bill) co-founded the Weather Underground, a self-described communist revolutionary group with the intent to overthrow imperialism, he conducted a campaign of bombing public buildings (including police stations, the US Capitol Building, and the Pentagon) during the 1960s and 1970s in response to US involvement in the Vietnam War.

He participated in the bombings of New York City Police Department headquarters in 1970, the United States Capitol building in 1971, and the Pentagon in 1972, as he noted in his 2001 book.

In 2001 at the time of 911 he said: “Although the bomb that rocked the Pentagon was itsy-bitsy—weighing close to two pounds—it caused ‘tens of thousands of dollars’ of damage. The operation cost under $500, and no one was killed or even hurt.”
In 2001, Bill told a reporter from a big New York newspaper: “I don’t regret setting bombs. I feel we didn’t do enough.”

At the time of 911 in the U.S., a Chicago magazine published a story about him and showed him standing on the flag of the U.S.

Bill and his wife were friends of Obama. Maybe still are?

  6. The posting of Aavang and what the NWH published made me look up to see what Smith and Aavang cost the taxpayers:

    Aavang- $42,374.16

    Smith – 33,465.66

Compare that to the taxpayer cost of Craig Wilcox – $21,646.98.

Vote for Brettman and Schuster – you will save the taxpayers of the County at least $130,183.40!

  7. nob Re: “I read it before I passed on the info from the NWH.”

“The more info the better, it’s called FAIR AND BALANCED.”

Then why did you only post the link for the NWH?

  8. Curious how stuff appears in newspapers and tv shows about candidates very close to an election or primary date. Recall how top dog news anchor Dan Rather had a fake news hit piece on GW Bush close to the Nov 2004 election. The discredited Rather falsely claimed that Bush was AWOL from the Reserves. For that, Dan was demoted and his producer was fired.

So, how do we assess what the local newspaper has claimed about Brettman? Is this another Dan Rather type smear?

  9. I don’t believe any of the local political coverage that I read in the NWH.

Until very recently, Jack Franks’ taxpayer funded spinmeister covered local politics for that rag, and it sure does seem to take a very hard line against the candidates who oppose Jack’s agenda.

  10. Supposed to be total compensation, although I do not know if overtime is included.

  11. Brew Winner: So the reporter traveled back in time and got a Cook County grand jury to make up a false report in 1975. This is Orville in his own words. Accept it. If you want to vote for a right wing radical who was part of group who blew up churches and took part in ransacking offices than own it. This is who he is. Orville is a loon. I would have more respect for people if they just said I am voting for the loon. Own it.
*if the Col doesn’t pay property tax I would factor that $15G into your equations. So he would be over Larry Smith.
