Anthony V. Ferrara Found Guilty of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse
Woodstock, IL–Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announced that 39-year-old Anthony V. Ferrara of Woodstock, Illinois, was found guilty of one count of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child and one count of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.
Ferrara faces penalties that range from 9 to 67 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Under the Truth in Sentencing Guidelines, Ferrara will have to serve 85% of the sentence he receives for the charge of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child.
On December 26, 2015 the defendant committed an act of sexual penetration and fondled the breast of a minor child who was under the age of 13.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 23, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. before the Honorable Judge James Cowlin.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorneys Victor Escarcida and Sharyl Eisenstein. The case investigation was led by Sgt. Kopulos of the Woodstock Police Department.
