Ten years ago, McHenry County Blog ran a story about Jacob Rokusek having posed motionless in his father David”s Galena toy store.
Half a life ago, he was posing holding a BB gun in the toy store’s front window looking amazingly like Ralph in the movie, “A Christmas Story.”

Eric Zorn of the Chicago Tribune picked up the story, complete with the photo published here.Friday evening Jacob was killed in an automobile accident.
Our memories go back to when our son and Jocob were Cub Scouts at the First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake.
My wife and I extend our condolences to his family who must be experiencing inexplicable pain we cannot come close to imagining

This is how I will most remember Jacob…a precious, sweet, fun little boy.
