Unlawful Possession of Child Pornography Arrest

On May 18, 2018, at approximately 6:30 am, Crystal Lake Police Detectives, with the assistance of

  • the Illinois Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Unit,
  • Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and
  • the Glendale Heights Police Department,

executed a search warrant at a residence located in Glendale Heights, IL, subsequent to an investigation being conducted on a previous Crystal Lake resident of the 1400 block of Alexandra Boulevard for unlawful possession of child pornography.

The matter initially came to the attention of the Crystal Lake Police Department through the ICAC Task Force, of which the Crystal Lake Police Department is a participating member, prompting an immediate investigation.

The Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit conducted the investigation, which culminated in the issuance of a search warrant for the residence of Andrew E. Alexander* (23) of 1258 Fordham Drive, Apartment #104, Glendale Heights.

As a result of a search of his home, vehicle, and examination of his electronic devices, Glendale Heights Police placed Alexander into custody for several counts of possession of child pornography. Subsequent to the original Crystal Lake investigation, Crystal Lake Police Detectives charged Alexander with the following offenses.

  • 4 counts of Possession of Child Pornography – 720ILCS 5.0/11-20.1 (a) (6) (Class 2 Felony)

Alexander was served arrest warrants while in custody in DuPage County.

Alexander’s McHenry County bond is set at $75,000.00. His next court date is June 1, 2018, at the McHenry County Courthouse.

*All defendants are presumed innocent until and unless found guilty in a court of law

  1. Expect more of this now that we have indoctrinated the children with everything goes and even teaching them in the schools the techniques to become an adept pervert.

  2. Yep! I think public schools started handing out participation awards for actions such as this.

    —– This is not a modern, or new problem.

    Child predators have always been around, doing evil, disgusting things.

    Class 2 felony, three to seven years.

    This guy could be out in 18 months if he previously had a clean record.
