Republicans Parade in Woodstock

Getting ready to step off.

One of the first parades of the summer was the one in Woodstock.

In front, Ev Evertsen carried the American Flag.

This was to commemorate Memorial Day.

McHenry County Recorder of Deeds Joe Tirio, now running for County Clerk, wore a campaign shirt with his name.  He was next to the McHenry County Republican Party banner. Carrying the banner are Rich Rostron and Gilbert Ruiz.

The McHenry County Republican Party participated.

A second banner, “Land of the Free, Because of the Brave,” followed the first.

First came the American Flag carried by Ev Evertsen, former Hartland Township Supervisor.

The Republicans had a mounted entry ridden by Seneca Township Republican Committeeman Dale Berry.

Next was the banner announcing the presence of the GOP parade entry.

The GOP elephant took it easy in the back of a truck.

There was a second banner carried by two children that said, ”¬†Land of the Free, Because of the Brave.”

A supporter of State Senate candidate Craig Wilcox made his candidacy known.

The symbol of the Republican Party, an elephant was in the line-up.

The GOP entry marched around the Woodstock Square.

The parade route took in the Woodstock Square.

American Flags were handed out to children along the parade route.

  1. Looks like the Republicans’ kids knew what the Day and the event was all about. Good on them. Make America Great Again!

  2. Children enjoy viewing parades. That’s fine. Any other reason for a parade? For adults?
