26 Years for Child Sex Abuser of Girls

RICHARD D. LAMPP SENTENCED TO 26 YEARS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR PREDATORY CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD AND AGGRAVATED CRIMINAL SEXUAL ABUSE

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that 58-year-old Richard Lampp, formerly of Algonquin, Illinois, was sentenced to 26 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the offense of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child and two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse pursuant to a negotiated plea in front of the Honorable Judge Cowlin on July 6, 2018.

Lampp plead guilty to sexually assaulting a minor victim who was under 13 years old in July 2016
and abusing two additional victims who were under thirteen years old in 2014.

Upon release from custody, Lampp will have to register as a lifetime sex offender.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorneys Sharyl Eisenstein and Victor Escarcida.

The case was investigated by the Algonquin Police Department.
