Jessup Manufacturing Company announced Jon Jorgenson is the winner of the 2018 Paul S. Jessup Scholarship.

Mr. Jorgenson will receive an unrestricted grant of $2,500 from Jessup to support his education.

Mr. Jorgenson plans to begin his Masters in Theological Studies program at Liberty University School of Divinity in the fall.

“I’m delighted to congratulate Jon Jorgenson on winning this year’s Paul S. Jessup Scholarship.

“We asked candidates to tell us how they used technology in their personal or work lives and community.

“Jon has achieved success using YouTube, Instagram and other online platforms to create, communicate, and share his faith with millions of people,” said Robert A. Jessup, President and Chief Executive Officer.

“By continuing his studies in theology, Jon will be able to further develop his teaching skills.”

“First of all, I want to thank the Jessup team for selecting me to receive this scholarship,” stated Jon Jorgenson.

“My deepest passion is to lead the Christian church into the future by winning over Millennial, Gen Z and younger people who become disenfranchised from the establishment churches in which they were raised.

“By strengthening my knowledge of theology and use of technology, I hope to expand my reach beyond the hundreds of thousands of people who already follow my YouTube videos.”

The Paul S. Jessup Scholarship recognizes academic achievement and dedication to making a difference in society.

It was established in 2016 to honor the memory of the company’s founder.

The scholarship program is open to Jessup Manufacturing Company employees, their spouses, children, and grandchildren.

The award is entirely unrestricted as to age, gender identity, race, religion, or political affiliation.

“We wouldn’t be successful as a company if we didn’t have a firm cultural commitment to innovation and learning,” added Mr. Jessup.

“We celebrate Jon’s thirst for education and his unique ability to connect with others.”

Mr. Jorgenson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Drama with University Honors from Carnegie Mellon University in 2013.

He is active in numerous Christian organizations including Trinity Oaks Christian Academy and Soul City Church.

He is the son of Kelly and John Jorgenson of Lake in the Hills, Illinois.
