Nunda Township Christmas Parties

McHenry County Blog filed a Freedom of Information request of documents relating to Christmas parties paid by Nunda Township taxpayers back to 2012.

The response found the Nunda Township Road District and Town Fund hosted holiday parties and charged them to the taxpayer.

In 2013, The Nunda Township Board met to accept Supervisor John Heisler’s resignation and appoint Trustee Jim Schlader Interim Supervisor. From left to right are Road Commissioner Don Kopsel, Trustees Joni Smith and Lee Jennings, Clerk Bridgett Provenzano, Trustees Tom Palmer and James Schlader and Assessor Dennis Jagla.

  3. Unbelievable! These crooks make the case to get rid of their own Townships!

  4. Townshipofficials are always having a party…. BUT IT’S ALWAYS ON US!

Go Bob Anderson, let’s abolish them!

  5. Thank you for providing this information. Our family has recently moved to McHenry County and your blog was recommended to me by a neighbor.

I only wish I would have known about it sooner.

My husband works as a letter carrier for the Post Office and they have to chip in their own money and us wives cook/bake dishes and desserts to bring if the employees wish to have a Christmas party every year.

He busts his hump working 10 hour days walking his route and he has to pay for his office festivities out of his own pocket; why must he also pay for Nunda Township’s?

To think some secretary or paper pusher gets to eat a prime rib dinner on his dime is disgusting.
