Bob Miller Attorney Tom Gooch Criticized by Illinois Leaks

The following is reprinted from Illnos Leaks with its permission:

“Personally, I like large breasts”- Says Bob Miller’s attorney, Thomas Gooch III

McHenry Co. (ECWd) –Yes, we used that title in hopes of getting everyone’s attention so they would read this article, and yes, the attorney really said that. The Gooch quote came from CBS reporting at this link.Former Algonquin Township Highway Commissioner Bob Miller retained legal counsel from none other than Thomas Gooch III.The same attorney that let the world know he likes large breasts, just not in the courtroom sitting at the table with opposing counsel.

Yes, that is old news but in light of recent information, worthy of connecting it to what appears to be a pattern for Gooch.

In the large breast case, Gooch actually filed a motion to have a person removed citing the woman’s presence was theatrics to distract the jury and that he does not think she is qualified to sit at the table with counsel.

Surprising, the Google Search results from this event from over 7 years ago still yields first page hits.

In that motion, Gooch cited no facts and simply made insinuations the person was not qualified to be where she was. In short, the motion was based on speculation.

During one of the hearings in McHenry County, Gooch, who is defending Bob Miller in what is now known as the Circus of Algonquin Township, the Gooch pattern of practice appears once again.

A pattern of speculation, insinuation, and outright false statements before the court.

The transcript reading makes you wonder where the local media is?

[Consider this quote from Robert Hanlon:]

“Mr. Gooch even makes bold statements in his motion that I’ve charged $136,000 to, you know, my client.

And to be clear, I haven’t charged a penny on this case to my client.”

So if attorney Robert Hanlon has not charged a penny in that case, Gooch’s claim to the contrary would be a false statement to the court.

It appears to be courtroom theatrics.

I guess the Northwest Herald missed that in all their reporting of attorney fees the Algonquin Road District has incurred.

“So that’s why I characterize this as nothing more than a witch hunt for entertainment purposes”. (Gooch)

A witch hunt for entertainment purposes?

How on earth is one elected official’s efforts of accountability a witch hunt?

Better yet, how is it a witch hunt when his client [Bob Miller] invokes his 5th Amendment rights against self-incrimination?

Gooch knows this is no witch hunt, although reading his comments are entertaining.

“Now they have the  Edgar County Watchdogs involved, and they furnish them documents” (Gooch)

Gooch falsely claimed “they” have us involved and that “they” are providing them with documents.

They being the current Highway Commissioner and his attorney.

These statements came on November 17th, 2017.

So there is no confusion, no one has us involved in the Algonquin Circus under the Big Top.

As for as providing us documents, our first Freedom of Information Act request was submitted after Gooch’s false statement to the court.

Gooch appears to have a pattern of making accusations of opposing parties engaging in theatrics, witch hunts, entertainment etc.

Sadly, reading the transcript from just one case it becomes evident that a mirror would be a good tool for Gooch.

Looking into it would reflect it is Gooch who is practicing the art of theatrics as he has no problem making statements before a judge that have no basis in fact.

We encourage everyone to read the transcript as it discloses some key facts that the Northwest Herald has not shared with the public.

Now that the transcript is published it will be interesting to see what they do with it.

In reading the 72-page transcript, I found these references to McHenry County Blog. (Who knew revealing what happens in court could be so disturbing to some in the legal community?)

McHenry County Blog enters the dialogue. The attorney Topm Gooch appears not to know that documents filed with the Circuit Clerk can be accessed by ordinary citizens.

The Brody is attorney Steven Brody.

Bob Miller Attorney Tom Gooch Criticized by Illinois Leaks — 17 Comments

  1. I surprised Kirk Allen puts out fake news just like the NWH.

Kirk Allen said in this nonsense: “Better yet, how is it a witch hunt when his client invokes his 5th Amendment rights against self-incrimination?
“http://edgarcountywatchdogs.com/…/algonquin-township…/ “Last week Thomas Gooch, who is representing Bob Miller, the former Township Road District Highway Commissioner who has invoked his 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination, has thrust himself and his client into our FOIA lawsuit.”

Kirk Allen what legal court document do you have to back up the claim you are making that Bob Miller took the 5th?

Transcript pages 19 & 20: MR. HANLON: And he can exercise — And he can exercise the Fifth Amendment privilege. But then he has to exercise the privilege. And he hasn’t exercised the privilege.

Also this isn’t in the original Dogs post, Cal put it in for clarification: [Consider this quote from Robert Hanlon:]

That addition by Cal actually helps as the way Kirk wrote it made it seem like Gooch was talking about the Dogs.

The Dogs/Kirk Allen and this blog aren’t any different than the NWH with fake news for political gain.

  2. Gooch is a riot and a very good lawyer, one of the few that files malpractice actions against other lawyers.

As for as providing us documents, our first Freedom of Information Act request was submitted after Gooch’s false statement to the court.”

A quick search of the ECW site I found multiple times prior to Nov 17th that the Dogs quoted and put pictures of township road district records on it’s site.

Kirk Allen/Dogs, where did that info come from if your FOIA request started after Nov 17th?

The thing with this blog, township records being displayed before any FOIA requests.

Doing so by the Dogs and this blog are no big deal, but don’t lie about how you got them, from Team Gasser.

More fake news by the Dog’s passed on by Cal!!!!!

  4. Chickens, turkeys, what do large breasts have to do with Gasser?

    I don’t get it

  5. Robin Mohr, why not put the rest of the transcript where the judge outlines more information on when the person is the one who has to invoke that right to stay silent?

The OFFICIAL public record of the States Attorney outlines that Miller invoked his 5th amendment right.

There does not have to be a COURT document stating he invoked his right but I think you know that.

As far as records we obtained for our articles, you insinuate that a specific TEAM gave them to us.

    Put up or shut up!

I have not LIED about one thing and to insinuate that I have shows how ignorant you are of all the things going on.

You may have worked there but it is clear you have no idea of the number of people that were fed up with Miller and are NOT Gasser supporters either.

The fact township records are displayed prior to our first FOIA is not an indicator that we obtained them from Gasser or his attorney.

It just shows that we had records.

I have stated for the record the claim by Gooch is not true.

Sorry you can’t accept the truth.

  6. Aw,, come on, Kirk. You should know by now, the nob is the expert on all matters, IHOM!

  7. I find it funny after all the time you have criticized the SA and his report as being incorrect, you now use it as proof of something that never happened.

    You’re a riot dude.

As far as Team Gasser, like Trump’s team the members have changed as time has.

Maybe Andrew will fill you in on who helped him rifle through the records and leaked them out to the NWH, McH Co blog and eventually you Dogs.

  8. I got my information for the 2017 posts from a court filing.

    You could, too.

  9. What court filing was there related to the Disney tickets, in June 2017?

  10. and nob knows about the records how?

    He was there?

He works for the NWH, too?

He must be know all, do all!

    haha

A legend in his own mind?

  11. No Way Call.

NOB says otherwise so you could not have gotten that information from anyone other than Team Gasser!

    LOL

  12. Cal, actually your first piece of info about the legal filing and copies of the credit card purchases was June 2, according to your own files:
    http://mchenrycountyblog.com/2017/06/02/andrew-gasser-asks-injunction-preventing-destruction-algonquin-township-road-district-records/
“On or about May 30, 2017, an anonymous package arrived at Algonquin Township addressed to ‘Highway Dept., c/o Andrew Gasser, 3702 N.S. Hwy 14, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. The return address was the Algonquin Township offices.”
Just a couple days later (YA RIGHT) Gasser was before the judge with copies of the transactions which also arrived at this blog the same day.
Your June 8th claim was misleading just like Kirk’s nonsense.
Very NWH of you both. LOL

  13. Robin your speculation and insinuation are just that and it’s wrong.

You have ZERO knowledge of how and when we obtained records before our first FOIA.

My statement was 100% true and you just refuse to accept the truth.

Your BS is just that, BS.

You have not provided ONE SHRED of proof to support what you claim.
