Republicans on Parade in Johnsburg

After the Libertarian Party entry in the Johnsburg Saufen und Spiel Parade came a long line of Republicans.

Flags came first.

Flags followed by a banner announced the start of the Republican Party entry in the Johnsburg Parade.

An elephant drew attention to signs.

The GOP symbol, an elephant, was surrounded by signs for Republican candidates this fall.

More flags on a float on which Republican party Chairman Diane Evertsen cn be seen.

In the front corner of this GOP float can be seen McHenry County Republican Party Chairman Diane Evertsen.

Here’s a closer view:

The Republicans certainly had more flags than any other entry.

Another “Don’t Tread on Me” flag preceded other elements of the Republican contingent.

The Republican entry was not tightly packed.

Unopposed for re-election to the Mchenry County Board Chuck Wheeler drove behind the “Don’t Tread on Me” flag.

Pam Althoff and Chuck Wheeler are the Republican candidates for the McHenry County Board. The Democrat put on the ballot after the primary election dropped out.

A group of Craig Wilcox for State Senator supporters walked with a banner bearing his name.

Craig Wilcox can be seen to the left of his banner with a bucket of candy.

A little vehicle covered with Wilcox signs drove behind.

Campaign consultants say that one must find a way to get one’s name in front of voters seven times before they will remember to vote for one.

State Representative candidate Tom Weber’s entry concluded the Republican Party’s presence in the parade. He wi running to replace State Rep. Barb Wheeler, who is retiring.

Tom Weber had a truck towing a trailer on which he stood.

Again, Weber did what no other candidate did. He spoke to those along the parade route explaining who he was and what he was running for.

Tom Weber waves at those along the parade route.

  1. You’ll never see a DEMOCRAT waving a Gadsden flag as they detest
    the historical significance of such.

  2. There is some good news:

Bernie Sanders’ son loses bid for Congress after failing to get dad’s backing!!
    (you can’t make this up!)

Democrat Levi Sanders fell short in his bid for Congress on Tuesday night — after somehow failing to secure the endorsement of his famous dad, US Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

The primary election win in the 1st Congressional District in New Hampshire went to Chris Pappas, who defeated 10 other rivals, including the younger Sanders, a Social Security benefits specialist.

Sanders, 49, was always considered a long shot, particularly after his dad didn’t come out to support him. With 96 percent of precincts reporting late Tuesday night, Sanders was seventh place with 1.7 percent of the vote.

This district is considered the most volatile seat in the country, having switched between Democratic and GOP hands in every election since 2010.

It’s now held by retiring Democrat Carol Shea-Porter.

In the GOP battle between two pro-Trump candidates, Eddie Edwards defeated Andy Sanborn. Edwards — the former police chief of South Hampton, NH — is seeking to be the Granite State’s first black representative to Congress

  3. ‘Lil Levi was just a radical Communist of the Stalinist ilk, Daddy is a full bore Bolshevik of the Trotsky type. The only thing they agree on is flooding the USA with third world invaders.

Too bad if your daughter gets raped or your son is killed by a DUI alien (w/ no insurance).

  4. Had Bernie Sanders supported him, my compassionate conservative friends would be celebrating the end of times for progressives. You see? We know these republikkklan charlatans too well. The progressive bluenami is coming. Lean forward. Hear the whisper. It is unstoppable. Repeat with me: Speaker Pelosi, Speaker Pelosi, Speaker Pelosi…stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meeeeeoooooowwwwwwwwwwww…

  5. As I see pathetic racist Diane Evertsen riding that float, I must admit she is still in good shape to compete for Miss ‘Merica. See the joke? Probably not. I will need to explain it in a future message. Stay tuned…54 days…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meow, meow, meeeeeoooooowwwwwwwwwwww…
