Man Arrested for Heroin Possession in Johnsburg Pleads Guilty

RYAN HURST SENTENCED TO FOUR YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE OFFENSE OF POSSESSION OF HEROIN

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Ryan Hurst, 36, was sentenced to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by Honorable Judge Sharon Prather after pleading guilty to Possession of Heroin, a Class 4 Felony.

On April 17, 2018, Hurst was located passed out in a vehicle by an officer from the Johnsburg Police Department.

He had three small bags containing heroin, along with other illegal drugs, in his possession.

An investigation into Hurst’s background revealed that he has been convicted of seven prior felony drug violations.

This case was investigated by the Johnsburg Police Department.

This case was prosecuted by Brian Miller of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
