Algonquin Township Board to Undo Damage Done by Previous Refusals to Approve Road District Levy

Andrew Gasser

Algonquin Township Road Commissioner Andrew Gasser presented his levy for next year in November.

It proposed a reduction of 1.8%.

That was on top of the 5% reduction during the current year.

With Trustees Dan Shea, Melissa Victor and David Chapman in attendance, the Township Board failed to approve the Highway Department tax levy earlier this month.

In the December Township Board meeting the three Trustees in attendance also did not approve the document used to force taxpayers to pay for maintenance of unincorporated roads, even if they live in municipalities.

Only Chapman voted in favor of approval.

Saturday a meeting has been called to rectify that mistake.

It will take place at 11 AM.

  1. 1.8% on top of 5% reduction in the levy and yet he still can waste government money on stupid lawsuits.

How much more could have been cut?

Bozo’s circus is on the air.
