Drunk Driving Cocaine Dealer Pleads Guilty

SAUL CAZARES PLEADS GUILTY TO POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DELIVER AND AGGRAVATED DUI

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Saul R. Cazares, 32, of
Woodstock, Illinois, pled guilty to

  • Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver (1-15 grams), a Class 1 felony, and
  • Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a Class 4 felony,

before the Honorable Sharon Prather.

On June 21, 2017, a search warrant was conducted on Cazares’ residence in Woodstock.

Cazares was located in the residence and found in possession of 12.2 grams of cocaine as well as several cell phones and a digital scale.

While on bond, on March 18, 2018, defendant, whose license was revoked for Driving Under the Influence, was arrested for Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Cazares was sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on the Class 1 felony and one year in the Illinois Department of Corrections (to be served consecutively) on the Class 4 felony pursuant to the plea.

This narcotics case was investigated by members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

The case was prosecuted by Robert Ladd of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.

The DUI case was investigated by members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

The case was prosecuted by Rita Gara of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
