  1. The source documents are Tax Computation Reports on the County Clerk website?

    mchenrycountyil.gov/county-government/departments-a-i/county-clerk/taxes

    The 2018 Tax Computation Reports are dated April 16, 2019.

    ++++++++++

    Per the County Summary PTAX 250 report of all property tax extensions countywide for all property taxing districts:

    2017 – $832,828,242.66

    2018 – $840,654,127.56

    That’s an increase of $7,825,885, which is .9% (nine tenths of one percent).

    That’s the countywide property tax hike for all property taxing districts combined.

  2. Valley Hi and IMRF are in County Taxes.

    The County has a surplus in the Valley Hi Fund and owes IMRF $50M ($50,000,000).

    The $50M is the unfunded liability (net pension liability).
