Jack Franks Not in Much of a Sharing Mood with Local Democrats

Campaign finance reports have been filed with the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Spurred on by the McHenry County Democratic Party’s use of County Board Chairman Jack Franks’ photo on its revolving masthead, I decided to see how much Franks has contributed to local Democrats.

Jack Franks appears on the left of this masthead for the McHenry County Democratic Party’s fundraising page.

I decided to look at political transfers from the man who reported havinf $530,792.38 in the bank as of the end of March, 2019.

For the past quarter (Jan.-March, 2019) here is his contributions to other candidates:

  • $5,000 – Gutierrez for the New 30th Ward (candidate lost to incumbent
    Ariel E. Reboyras)
  • $1,000 – Citizens for Alex Acevedo, Chicago (candidate lost to
Byron Sigcho-Lopez in the 25th Ward)
  • $1,000 – Melissa for Chicago (candidate Melissa Conyears-Ervin  elected City Treasurer)

From October through December, 2018, the following contributions were reported:

  • $500 – Mary for Illinois, Libertyville (Joe Walsh’s wife’s opponent, who won)

  • $250 – Citizens for Joe Gottemoller, Crystal Lake

  1. The Dems know Franks as a greedy, selfish person, who lies whenever he opens his big fat mouth.

  2. Franks feels that he is “entitled”.
After all, he is a DEMOCRAT.
    .
Did this “trigger” you, Little Joey Blowhard ?
And you, Little Tommy Snowflake ?
    Too bad, deal with it.

  3. May his chooks turn into emus and kick his dunny down.

My Aboriginal Outback curse has a very high success rate.

  4. Jack also supports making McHenry County a “sanctuary” County! Just does not talk about it much.

  5. Anybody who knows him, ends up detesting him.

    It’s only natural.

  6. The data is from the Supporters of Jack D Franks PAC.

The State Board of Elections (SBE) Committee ID for the Supporters of Jack D Franks PAC is 19464.

    +++++

Following are the steps to perform such a contributions search on the SBE website:

http://www.elections.il.gov > Search Options (Choose Search Option): Contributions Search > Search > By Committees tab > Committee ID: 19464 > Search > Download this list > Tab Delimited Text File > Save File > OK > Save.

Remember the location of the file name and path.

To open the file in a spreadsheet, realize the saved file has a .txt extension.

To open a .txt file in a spreadsheet, choose the all files (*.*) option in the spreadsheet.

After opening the .txt file in a spreadsheet, then remember to save the file as a spreadsheet (.xls or .xlsx) not as a text file (.txt).

The State Board of Elections could and should have an option to download an xls file so one doesn’t have to go through the steps of locating and opening a text file (.txt) and converting it to a spreadsheet format (.xls or .xlsx.).

A major transparency failure by the State Board of Elections which is not surprising given the lack of transparency in Illinois politics.

Wouldn’t want to make it too easy for people to figure out what’s going on.

    For an expenditures search:

http://www.elections.il.gov > Search Options > Expenditures Search > follow the process above.

  7. Are democrats responsible for this?

Pension Funds Looking More Like A Collapsing Ponzi Scheme.

You can’t help but call it a Ponzi scheme. Not if you look at Chicago’s collapsing demographics and consider how they’re threatening the solvency of the city’s government-run pensions. Chicago households are on the hook for more than $145 billion in state and local retirement debts and there are fewer and fewer people left to pay them.

Consider first Chicago’s falling population. The city’s metropolitan population has fallen four years in a row. It’s the only top-ten city to shrink like that. In all, the Chicago MSA lost 66,000 people between 2014 and 2018.

  8. He’d much rather spend his time meddling in Republican elections!

  9. He couldn’t – he was spending it on that house in Lake Geneva and that brand new high-priced mid-life crisis convertible.

  10. Heard that Jack and daddy sold their interest in a local bank for $50,000,000.

Also heard that some of that money found its way into the coffers of the Northwest Herald – no proof, just heard that.

  11. Today’s NW Herald headline “Crony Politics” Really, Mr Franks?

    YOU are the crony politician.

Yikes, Mr. Franks, pathetic and sad.

You alone would make us want to move out of McHenry County!

    Congratulations.
