How You Can Help Prevent Another Child from Ending Up Like AJ

Sitting down reading AJ Freund’s obituary, it occured to me that there is something more that McHenry County adults can do that attending vigils and his visitation.

There is a voluntary organzation called CASA in McHenry County.

The intials stand for Court Appointed Special Advicate.

The group needs volunteers and money.

Former Judge Maureen McIintyre and McHenry County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Hector Garza spoke at a fundraiser I attended two years ago.

If you read the articles below, you’ll get a better idea of what volunteers can accomplish:

So, how about calling 779-994-4398 or 815-363-5920 and asking how to become a volunteer?

Or stop in the office at 70 N. Williams St. Suite B, in Crystal Lake.

  2. Report parents for homeschooling and protecting their child from poisonous vaccinations, and DCFS will be allover them!

  3. CASA is a great group of hardworking individuals who care about the children they work with.

Let us do something POSITIVE with this horrible tragedy.

  4. DCFS are criminals. The people that are begging for more governmental control are complete nitwits! All knee-jerk emotional snowflakes that couldn’t think their way out of a paper bag.

  5. How does CASA do so much with so little money but DCFS is understaffed and not enough money goes to them? Ironic isn’t it!
