Illinois 2019 Spring Wild Turkey Preliminary Harvest Totals 15,189 Birds
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Illinois turkey hunters harvested a preliminary statewide total of 15,189 wild turkeys during the 2019 Spring Turkey Season.
This year’s total is up compared with the 2018 statewide turkey harvest of 13,494.
The statewide preliminary total includes the 2019 Youth Turkey Season harvest of 1,364 birds, compared with the 2018 youth harvest of 1,143 turkeys.
The statewide record total was set in 2006 when 16,569 turkeys were harvested.
86 were taken in McHenry County this year, one less than last year.
Did somebody bag Reicks and Franks — they are our county’s two biggest turkeys.
Dirty birds they are, too! Foul fowl.
MsT – I see what you did there …
86 shots of Wild Turkey is some serious drinking.
Thanks for the chuckle.
Watch out Ms. T; Jacko Franks will regard that as yet another anti-semitic death threat and send his legal team and ADL hucksters after you!
He will brook no criticism from mere peons.
To Franks, all opposition to him and his grandiose ideas and tax schemes are the equivalent of utter anti-semitism.
