Jack Franks’ Appointees in Full Control of Lake in the Hills Sanitary District

Thursday night the last holdover LITH Sanitary District Trustee appionted by a Republican County Board Chairman, Terry Easler, was replaced by Democrat Jack Franks’ appointee Jessica Reed.

It was the conclusion of a fumbled attemptby Jack Franks to illegally appoint Mark Ripley, a third person who was a Lake in the Hills resident toe the $6,000 a year post.

Jack Franks signed an appointment certificate that was not in accordance with state law.

The problem that attorney Franks did not discover was sgtate law prohibits every person to be from the same municipality in a multi-municipality sanitary district.

Since Franks successfully filed a lawsuit to keep appointment control out of the hands of local legislators, one might think that he would have read all of the appointment legislation.

After outgoing Lake in the Hills Sanitary District Board member Easler pointed out how Ripley’s appointment would violate the law to McHenry County Board member Paula Yensen, Franks decided this law was one he ought to follow.

Hence the appointment of Reed, a resident of Huntley.

  1. Why didn’t he try to get an appointment for his Daddy or wife, like last time.
