How Some on the County Board Expect the Conservation District to Tax Next Year

After the McHenry County Conservation District Board agreed to cut its budget by $204,000, the amount its levy increased this year, I reached out to a member of the Finance and Audit Committee to see what expectations might be next year.

The reply was that the MCCD should cut its tax levy by twice that much, $408,000.

Not the Cut 10 that McHenry County Board Cahirman Jack Franks pledged he would cut a home’s property tax.

Not even the cutting of taxes levied by countyu govenment that Franks convinced editorial board members that he was really talking about.

  1. Conservation is just new world order code speak for their agenda 2030 crappola. Why are we paying for them to genocide us? Tell them to take a hike just like organizations like The Defenders. They are ALL traps.

  2. Cindy’s right.

Why’d the board increase the Levy?

So they can say they cut taxes when they just kept them flat?
