State Senator Jim Oberweis, a more or less announced candidate for the Republican nomination to run against Lauren Underwood, ran in the 5k at Milk Day Saturday.
He didn’t take part in the parade, at least not to the three-fourths point where I was standing.
But he did participate in the milking contest.
Unannounced candidate State Represenative Allen Skillicorn had a large contingent, include three guys doing bicycle tricks.
GOP congressional hopeful Danny Malouf was present with a banner and a sign saying, “Make Public Service Great Again.”
Appointed Judge David Gervais, running for a countywide six-year term, made his presence known with a banner and supporters in Gervais tee shirts handing out candy.
State’s Attorney Patrick Kenneally worked the Milk Day crowds.
McHenry County Auditor Shannon Teresi walked with her son Luke.
McHenry County Board Chairman Jack Franks, his wife and mainly young supporters worked those lining Dyer Street.
The Republican Party has a float, while the Democratic Party was missing.
For the record and as public service, in the second picture, Mr. Oberweis is the one on the right. I can tell because he is much heavier…stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meeeeeoooooowwwwwwwwwwww, moooooooooooooooooo…
That is a good one.
