This is what the list of “accomplishments” for Tax Man JB should look like:
X Raise Taxes (Income, Gas, Parking, Real Estate Transfer, Cable, Retail etc.)
X Raise Fees (Licenses, Vehicle Stickers/Registration, FOID cards, etc.)
X Do NOT cut spending
X Pay raises for legislators
X Do NOT fix pension problem
X Require Manufactures to unionize
X Give homeowners more reasons to leave Illinois
X Implement a new state motto, “Come of Illinois and get screwed”
I’d love to be next to you at the pump the first day you pay the higher gas tsx rate.
These tax increases are going to cause a good deal of pain in towns near the Wisconsin border.
Illinois people will have even more incentive to buy gas in Wisconsin, and with the increase in the Illinois cigarette tax, Wisconsin people will no longer have any reason to travel to Illinois to buy cigarettes.
