Lake County Right-to-Life Offers Thanks, Advice for Future

From the Lake County Right-to-Life/:

Illinois State Capitol from the northwest.

Sometimes things don’t turn out the way we want them to, but there is always a reason which will be revealed in time.

Many thanks to everyone who prayed in public or private that the bill would be defeated.

A special thanks to those pastors/priests who allowed letters to be written from their parish/church urging legislators to vote no on the extreme abortion legislation.

A very special, special thanks to those pastors/priests who spoke directly to their people on the sanctity of human life and the necessity to defend it.

Profound thanks to all who lobbied in Springfield, who called, sent emails and wrote their Representatives and Senators on the Reproductive Health Act.

Many thanks to our elected officials in both the House and Senate who had the courage to vote no in spite of intense pressure on the Reproductive Health Care Act.

The war on life is not over.

As we approach the 75th Anniversary of the invasion of Normandy(D-Day) we can make some comparisons in this battle for Life:

  • Our military never gave up – they died to keep us free.
  • The pro-life movement will not wavier or give up – the sanctity of human life is the corner stone of our country and faith is too important for us to give up.
  • On D-Day men faced the enemy knowing they might not survive.
  • We know that the abortion bill was all about money, profit and power.
  • On D-Day men faced men on the battlefield.
  • Innocent unborn babies do not deserve to die especially at the hands of those who will profit either monetary or politically.
  • General Eisenhower committed the battle and his men to Almighty God before the invasion.
  • We at Lake County Right to Life commit our battle for Life to Almighty God, asking for the strength and the courage to continue.
Illinois will soon allow a child like this to be aborted up to the day before birth.

Elections matter – you get what you voted for here is some of what SB 25 the Reproductive Health Act will bring.

  • The bill allows abortion till the moment of birth.
  • Great harm will result from the expansion of late term abortion not only to women but to the moral fabric of our state.
  • Repeal of common-sense abortion regulations on providers will result in Gosnell clinics. Which will only harm women.
  • There will be more abortion complications – which will not be reported.
  • Religious institutions will be forced into health insurance plans that cover abortion.
  • A lack of any parental involvement in their daughter’s decision.
  • Baby experimentation under the cover of the law.
  • These are just a few of the points this legislation allows there will be much more as the bill unfolds. I read urge everyone to take the time to read the bill and see the lies.
  • Abortion is not health care.
  • Killing for societal reasons never solves a problem.
  • The choice for reproductive rights is really about killing an unborn human being.
  • The slippery slope just got slippery.
