Pro-Life Group Asks for Thanks to Springfield Bishop Thomas Paproki

From the Pro-Life Action League:

Have you heard?

Today Bishop Thomas Paprocki of the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois issued a Decree barring state legislators who voted for radical pro-abortion bills from receiving Holy Communion.

I had the honor of sharing a podium with Bishop Paprocki during a huge pro-life rally in the Illinois Capitol back in March. His courage and clarity were inspiring that day.

But his action today is even more inspiring.

Bishop Paprocki clearly spelled out the grave evil and injustice of abortion. He explained that Christian legislators have a duty to defend the lives of unborn children. He backed up his words with Canon Law.

He even singled out by name the two legislators who pushed these bills through the Illinois General Assembly: House Leader Mike Madigan, and Senate Leader John Cullerton.

I was so inspired by Bishop Paprocki’s Decree that I want to send him a special letter of thanks. Would you like to join me?

Click here to add your name to my letter thanking Bishop Paprocki for being such a courageous leader of the Church!

And please forward this message to all your pro-life contacts. I want to offer Bishop Paprocki a tremendous outpouring of support.

Cal, our leaders so often disappoint us. But here we have a case of a true leader, one who stands up for the truth without compromise.

I hope you and all your pro-life friends will join me in thanking Bishop Paprocki for being such a bold and courageous shepherd of the Church!

Yours for Life,

  1. Wow, what a hero Bishop Paprocki is.
In this age of feckless, failed, loser leadership….FINALLY, one leader (secular or religious) finally stands up and says enough.
Cullerton and Madigan’s souls are in serious jeopardy.
Too bad the other Catholic Bishops are too weak to say a word.
However, despite the negative, let’s focus on the positive. ONE LEADER, BISHOP PAPROCKI, STAND FIRM AND STRONG TO HIS FAITH.
For all Christians, read the 6th Chapter of John’s Gospel. Then read, John 6:66 if you want to read what happens to those who don’t believe in the true presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

  2. It’s about time someone from the clergy stands up and speaks out
against the Cult Of Death and their practiconers – AKA, the DEMOCRAT party.

Does this “trigger” you, Little Joey Blowhard ?
    Too bad, deal with it.

  3. When it comes to protecting our children and accountability, now, more than ever, we need the leadership and moral guidance of US Roman Catholic bishops. It is refreshing to see who compassionate conservatives look up to as moral leaders. Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meeeeeoooooowwwwwwwwwwww…ooo

  4. “When it comes to protecting our children,” do we really want a catholic bishop? These guys spend their careers preaching BS and assaulting young boys. Ask SNAP, the survivors group, about bishops and priests protecting children. Paprocki should turn in his robe and get a legitimate job. Honest Abe is clearly a product of catholic “ways.”

  5. Not only is Paprocki a creepy priest, he is friends with Madigan.

  6. What would Jesus Do?
My bible studies are a little rusty was there ANY sin he didnt forgive?
Add to that the creepy “I deny you salvation because I don’t like your politics”vibe you have a perfect storm of why the Catholic church is sadly, seen more and more as a monstrous perversion of Jesus’ teachings.

  7. How is he going to enforce this ban? Will he build a wall around all churches to keep these people out?

  8. Any politician who claims to be Catholic and votes for radical pro abortion should be kicked out of the Catholic Church, excommunicated.

  9. I suspect the brotherly love and admiration these compassionate conservatives feel towards Roman Catholic clergy may shift a little once they find out the official position and statements of the USCCB with regards to the dignity of undocumented immigrants and how everyone must respect and protect them. I’m not saying, I’m just saying. Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meeeeeoooooooowwwwwwwwwwww…

  10. I’m not Catholic, but finally a Christian prelate who doesn’t give a fig about what the media whores say … or the psuedo-Catholics, like Dirtbag Durbin or sweet little nothing, Laurenn Under-weird, or witch-doctress-Congressthing.

  11. dentblah, are you another jewish graduate student on Franks’ payroll assigned to ‘troubleshoot’ on this blog?
