Casten’s Extremist Record Criticized

From Republican congressional candidate Evelyn Sanguinetti

Sean Casten Out of Touch With 6th District Voters

Casten has a 98.88% Progressive voting score

In his short time in Congress, Sean Casten has already amassed a progressive voting record.

As a Congressman, Casten is supposed to represent all those who live in his district, not just the people who voted for him and the special interests who buoyed his campaign.

After a week when Casten stated “bipartisanship is overrated” and asked taxpayers to give him a pay raise because he thinks his current $174,000 salary is “peanuts,” it is clear who Casten is representing in Congress, and it’s certainly not the people in his district.

“Casten is no centrist.

“Sent to DC to represent his district’s values, Casten would rather bow to the extreme wing of his party, proving he is one of them by voting 99% of the time in their favor,” said Clay Godfrey, Sanguinetti campaign spokesman.

“The 6th Congressional District wants a Representative who votes with their district in mind, not someone who votes to impress the extremists in their party.”

Casten’s Extremist Record Criticized — 6 Comments

  1. He voted with his party on a bunch of procedural votes?

How would you suggest he better represent his district?

He won the election, he’s doing what he ran on.

If (God forbid) Evelyn goes to Congress she’s going to vote with the democrats 50% of the time?

  2. Who doens’t want this?

    Definition of progressive

    (Entry 1 of 2)
1a : of, relating to, or characterized by progress
b : making use of or interested in new ideas, findings, or opportunities
c : of, relating to, or constituting an educational theory marked by emphasis on the individual child, informality of classroom procedure, and encouragement of self-expression

  3. “dentbla”, the word “progressive” is a euphemism for “liberal”, just as “Medicare-for-all” is a euphemism for “single-payor/socialized medicine”.

Throw away the dictionary, because what I just said is the truth about what “progressive” represents.

  4. The term ‘progressive’ means screwed up.

    Period.

    Know your codes.

    Transgenders do, so should you!

    Underwood does, so should you!

  5. Casten is a good example of why Illinois is in such an abyss.

He came out of one to drag us down with him.

  6. Ok- so what are some of these awful, out-of-step, too progressive votes Casten cast?

You all just have some examples- let’s take a look at them.
