Jack Franks’ Allies Use Jack Franks’ Citizen Participation Act Argument in Brettman, Schuster Suit Dismissal Motion

The bill which I think State Rep. Jack Franks will be remembered for is the Citizen Participation Act.

He introduced it in response to a Richmond developer’s having sued citizens who objected to rezoing a hunt club into a subdivision.

Now, Jack Franks’ allies, which may inclulde Jack Franks himself, have invoked the act in defense of the smear pieces mailed by the “Illinois Integrity Fund,” an organization which has no integrityj andeven isn’t a fund recognized by the Illinois State Board of Elections.
