Sanguinetti: Climate Change Hypocrite Sean Casten Benefits Financially from Dirty Company Electric Generating Firm

WHEATON — Evelyn Sanguinetti, Republican candidate for Illinois’ 6th Congressional District, today responded to a national news report that “climate change advocate” Sean Casten has a financial stake in a serial polluting company cited numerous times for violating federal water laws.

According to a report in today’s Roll Call, Casten has a $250,001 to $500,000 stake in Greenleaf Power LLC, a California energy company that burns wood to generate electricity.

Federal regulators cited the company five times since 2016 for violating the Clean Water Act, the report states.

“Sean Casten is another hypocrite politician who puts his ‘priorities’ aside when it benefits him financially,” said Evelyn Sanguinetti.

“While claiming climate change an ‘urgent threat’ and his top priority, Sean Casten chose to make money off a dirty company cited numerous times for violating the Clean Water Act.

“Unfortunately, he’s fitting in well in Washington, D.C. with the other politicians who say one thing and do another.”

  1. It’s only important when it’s other people’s money.

    The liberal mantra.

  2. Typical liberal, akin to Al Gore flying around the world burning millions of pounds of Jet A-1 and leaving all of that carbon in the atmosphere, whilst telling the rest of us how to live.

  3. Just another fake.

    Like Sanguenetti.

And smell her own kind 6 miles away!
