Free Food Every Friday at Nunda Township Hall

Nunda Township allows the First United Methodist Church to distribute food from three Jewels and the Northern Illinois Food Bank every Friday at the Township Hall.

The first time, it’s hard to find, so take a look at this map:

Where the Bay Road Nunda Township Office complex is located.

Arriving at about 12:30 is a pretty good time.

The start time is dependent on when the Northern Illlinois Food Truck arrives.

Sometimes it is as early as 11; sometimes as late as 2.

The truck last week brought three big boxes of seedless watermelons.

The order one is called is random, so there is no need to try to arrive first.

Anyone can get food.

There are no prerequisites or residency requirements.

Show a picture of the ‘hungry’ people in line and tell me how many have ever missed a meal.

People use food banks to get their food and then sell their EBT cards.

    Aren’t they on SNAP already?

  5. This is a giant tax scam for food stores to get donation tax credits for old food.

  6. Please come and tell your friends who are having a hard time making ends meet.

  7. How is this not caused by socialism? Sit back, relax, and be entertained by sunshine compassionate conservative sound economic theory. Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock…
