  1. I never understood republicans who favor retaining townships using the general assistance argument.

    General assistance is welfare.

Welfare is the redistribution of wealth.

This isn’t the role of government.

  2. Insider is RIGHT on target.

Tax pig ‘Republicans’ like township officials, such as Jimmy ‘Home was in Foreclosure’ Condon, Road Commissioner of McHenry Township need these do nothing positions to pass along to their kids.

Condon does not even show up on a daily basis to collect his $99K salary, while he runs his real job.

  3. Why is everybody rejected?

Because they’re already getting thousands in welfare, food stamps, medicaid, etc?

    Doesn’t make sense?

What are they paying the township supervisor in Richmond to do?

    Play video poker?

  4. What is the salary of the Richmond Township Supervisor?

Are the fees from McHenry Township being deducted from the Richmond Supervisor’s salary since it is their duty to dole out their general assistance?
