Candidates Jim Oberweis and Catalina Lauf compete for donors within hours of the end of the 3rd quarter fundraising period.
The late afternoon commute today could see additional traffic, and political signage in Marengo and Woodstock. Candidates Jim Oberweis and Catalina Lauf have fundraisers for their respective congressional campaigns from 5:30 to 7:00 (Oberweis) and 7:30 (Lauf). One wonders if there will be attendees who will attend both events simply to meet the two candidates.
Donors and prospective donors are likely seeing increased email traffic looking for campaign cash from voters not only in the 14th, but across the country, too.
Today, September 30 is the end of the 3rd quarter for 2019. Federal candidates will be filing campaign disclosure reports to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) next month, with a due date of October 15. All of the congressional candidates are working very hard to finish the quarter strong financially.
McHenry County Blog will be covering the filing of FEC reports after today, and will post the numbers as they become available from the FEC. We will quite literally be filling-in the blanks for IL-14:

Do they support townships?

In 2018 she was carrying bags for Rauner’s and Sanguinetti for about 3K a month.
Now she’s running for Congress?
