Franks Trying to Abolish Coroner Using Another Hand-Picked Committee

Wednesday at 10 at the County Building another of McHenry County Board Chairman Jack Franks will meet.

The topic?

Discussion on Coroner’s Office

It is not a big secret that Franks to abolish the Coroner’s Office.

He first told the Champaign News-Gasette in June of 2017.

That was when a woman, Dr. Anne Majewski, held the office.

Franks proposed contracting with the Lake County Coroner.

My guess is that he will propose a referendum to abolish the office, which is a check and balance on the medical community.

Franks appointed himself Chairman of the committee.

Other members re Michele Aavang, Stephen Doherty, Joe Gottemoller, Patrick Kenneally, MarcCann, Bob Nowak, Carolyn Schofield, Michael Vijuk and Paula Yensen.

Franks Trying to Abolish Coroner Using Another Hand-Picked Committee — 20 Comments

  1. The Jack Franks enablers, Michele Aavang, Stephen Doherty, Joe Gottemoller, Patrick Kenneally, Mary MCann, Bob Nowak, Carolyn Schofield, Michael Vijuk and Paula Yensen.

  2. Kenneally, Gottemoller, Aavang, Vijuk, Yensen?

    What could possibly go wrong?

  3. Does the new committee have a name? I’d like to suggest “The Loyal Order of the Brown Nose.”

The rules really need to be changed so that the Chairman has to get approval from the whole Board before he can create one of his special committees.

  4. Doesn’t Franks get it?

    He’s passé.

A tired, used up and rather pathetic politician.

Just replace “Norma Desmond” and ‘faded screen actress” with “Jack Franks” and “faded politico” in that oils classic starring Gloria Swanson “Sunset Boulevard” – and there you have it!

In fact Gloria Swanson does do a pretty good imitation of the “Jackal” if you know what I mean.

Jack was brought back to Woodstock from the tawdry fleshpots of “Old Springpatch” at his wife’s ultimatum.

Unfortunately for the people of McHenry, his toxic presence is so much stiflingly closer. And the stench, phew!

Now a solar farm rip off on a scale worse than the Wonder Lake State Bank could ever be.

  5. Jackanapes Franks: “Gov. Blago, I demand you find sweet do nothing jobs for my darling wife, no account brother and, of course, my Dad.”

  6. Abolish the coroner would save over 100k plus benefits not to mention pension.

The Sheriff is currently doing a great job providing those duty’s.

You support the idea of merging the recorders office into the clerks office but don’t support the exact same thing because
    it’s Jack?

I don’t care who’s name is behind shrinking government, I stand with anybody who offers to save taxpayers money.

  7. Isn’t Michael Rein running for coroner.

Didn’t he run for mayor of Woodstock against Brian Sauger and loose?

Didn’t Michael also run again for county board and lost that race as well?

He needs a job just like Tirio needed a job.

Both aren’t qualified to be a baby sitter but strive for a better life in government.

    Only in America!

  8. How will it save us money when the Sheriffs Department will have to just hire someone to take on the full duties.

You just shift the money from one area to another.

Maybe you stand because sitting is hard on your brain.

  9. That’s how you justify it?

Then same goes for let’s talk about how joe the clerk didn’t save any money by merging the 2 offices.

Then how is it any different here.

Btw Stephen pokorny, I stand just fine, I just don’t follow your little group of half wit wanna be need the Government to hold my hand, can’t get a real job because I’m too busy posting on the MCB.

    (McHenry County Blog) half wit.

  10. Just appoint Jack Franks coroner.

His first case will be to determine the cause of death for McHenry County.

But then he’ll be a major cause of death, himself.

    Is that a conflict?

I can’t get over what a scab Joe Gottemoller has become.

  11. It wouldn’t be surprising if Chairman Franks nominated Angela Byrne for appointment as coroner.

Her announcement had the characteristics of some professional tweaking.

  12. And yet once again Kenneally’s name comes up.

Personally, I’m incredibly surprised that he has time to do anything as his priorities seems to be looking the other way for and hitting the fundraising circuit of his political friends something that is ethically frowned on by The American Bar Association.

Perhaps he just has it mixed up with the ” American Buffet Association ” and priority is getting those little pigs in a blanket and Egg Rolls.

  13. Yes, of course the committee includes his people so he can get the results he wants.

Franks is a pro at this and setting people up.

When the committee comes back with the proposal to eliminate the office and give it to the sheriff, be prepared that anyone on the board that votes against it, will be targeted with mailers in the next election as they are against saving the tax payer money.

Will someone ask and will we receive an honest savings calculation not just for the corners dept but also the increase cost to the sheriff’s office.

What are the details of the $100k savings that was mentioned and how do you know when the committee was just announced?

Did you consider the extra cost to the sheriff office?

You may get rid of the corner but you will need to hire a professional to run the Dept of Corner’s in the sheriff office.

All other people in the corners office will still be employed since the job duty is the same, just proposed to be in a different administrative Dept.

  14. Reading comprehension not a strong suit with you.

My comment was about sitting not standing.

You seem to be a regular here need a job or democratic handout.

    You are a halfwit coward.

Like most liberals post in the shadows.

  15. He promised to save the salary and the cost of health insurance.

    Tirio did that.

  16. The Coroner can be a check and balance on the Sheriff’s Office.

  17. Cal, dontcha mean on ALL law enforcement agencies?

Not saying we need it, but perhaps that’s because we already have it in a formerly independent coroner’s office.

I thought this (dumping it on the sheriff) was a idea at the time not because of anything Prim might or might not do, but simply putting him behind the 8 Ball should there be a LE involved death.

Granted there will always be finger pointing, but at least one additional level of independent investigation would afford him some protection.

  18. I should have said all the law enforcement authorities.

I vividly remember a story about some law enforcement officer having dropped a gun next to a dead boyfriend who was killed north of Crystal Lake.

A competent Coroner might have figure out what happened.

  19. Tirio didn’t need a job!

He is retired early from Ameritech and owns his own Senior Care business with his family.

For the monicker you chose, you are just another icy-moron like Franks & Friends ( Integrity Fund)
